The DCC children’s ministry is all about the kids! We strive to equip children with basic biblical knowledge so they can move forward in life with a solid foundation. Not only are we Bible focused; we also nurture a loving environment, helping kids draw closer in relationship with God through intergenerational ministry opportunities. Join us for Vacation Bible School or weekly Sunday School, knowing your children are well cared for and loved!
Sunday School classes are offered after a time of worship at the 10 am service for children from 3 years of age through 5th grade. No Sunday School classes are offered during the first service or when we have only one service.
Preschool through 3rd grade meet downstairs in the children’s area, while 4th and 5th grade have class upstairs in the library. Sunday School classes are staffed by volunteers who have a heart for teaching children about Jesus. Currently, in the Preschool through 3rd grade classrooms we are using Gospel Project, a chronological, Bible based curriculum (https://www.gospelproject.com). The 4th/5th grade classroom is using the Action Bible curriculum (https://www.theactionbible.com).
The nursery is staffed by workers and volunteer assistants during both services. This area is equipped with age-appropriate toys and parent resources including a changing table. We have a Nursing Lounge connected to the nursery with live streaming of the Sunday service. We encourage moms to utilize this unique space.
